How do you know if your boyfriend is too good to be true?

My bf and I have been dating for almost 2 yrs. He always says he doesn't think anyone is prettier than me and that he doesn't look at them in a sexual way. He never talks to girls on his own, only if they talk to them first and he is short when he answers them. He has never had a gf and I think that if he did check out other girls or flirt with them I would have caught him in the 2 yrs we've dated. 1) He's lying about not looking at other girls in a sexual way. On the animal level, men are programmed to have as much sex as possible with as many different partners as possible to ensure propogation of the species. He's lying about that.





2) If he doesn't talk to other girls, then he's being respectful of you. Take it as an utmost compliment that despite his primal urges, he is sublimating them so that he can continue to be with you.





3) If you have no reason to suspect him of cheating, then don't worry about him cheating. No need to sell yourself short, aren't you good enough for him?





Relax and enjoy your relationship. Realize that he's not entirely truthful since he's incapable of changing his instincts, but also realize that he's doing his best to control those instincts so that he can stay with you. Good luck!

Well...he sounds too good to be true, and I usually say that if you're questioning whether or not he is, then go with that, but...2 years is a long time. So he either is that good of a man, or he's incredibly sneeky. Most men can't be that sneeky for 2 years! Try living with him! You'll find out then!
